I still live on in....

The little bit of sun shine
Amidst the morning sky
In the beautiful rainbow
After a storm that passes by

The icicles that cast such colors
On a snowy day
The flowers that do blossom
In the month of May

The stars up in the heavens
That twinkle in the night
The warmth of the sun light
That shines so big and bright

The rush of the waves
As they glide up to the shore
The distant sound of thunder
Before it starts to pour

The breeze that gently flows
With the sweet smell of the spring
The beginning of another day
As the birds set out to sing

The beauty of the world
I still live on
Feel me all around you...
I have never truly gone

A Mother's Love

I have shed a million tear drops...
as the years have passed on by
Wondered how I've managed
Asked the question why

I can't imagine how I've lived on
Although what could I do?
I had no way of knowing...
It's a nightmare that came true

I wish I could awaken
Find you here with me
My heart is badly broken...
with pain I cannot flee

Although it has been years now
I hurt like yesterday
No words that have been spoken
have swept this pain away

I imagine you in heaven...
peaceful as can be
While I am left here waiting
Until I will be free

I cry each day without you
Hide what's deep within
The world has thought I've moved on...
For grieving is a sin

I know this pain is endless
It will never cease
I'll pretend...for that's expected...
To appear I am at peace

Only you will know I'm lying
This mask upon my face
I will always wish this nightmare...
could somehow be erased

In loving memory of Joey and his heavenly buddies

UNMASK

I am looking for a special place
A place to not deny
All the feelings deep within
A place where I can cry

A private world that will except
These tears that flow for you
The never ending sorrow
A place I can be true

No more hiding from the world
Pretending I am fine
I need to let it all run free
No longer walk this line

If others cannot understand
That life is not the same
I must not waste another day
Trying to explain

I need to be true to myself
And those that really care
I will no longer wear my mask
My feelings I must bear

So I will show my feelings
To a world that has no clue
The pain that has me reeling
Since the day that I lost you

In loving memory of Joey and his heavenly buddies

WE REMEMBER THEM
At the rising of the sun and at its going down:
We remember them.
At the blowing of the wind and the chill of winter:
We remember them.
At the opening of the buds and in the rebirth of spring:
We remember them.
At the blueness of the skies and in the warmth of summer:
We remember them.
At the rustling of the leaves and in the beauty of autumn:
We remember them.
At the beginning of the year and when it ends:
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as:
We remember them.
When we are weary and in need of strength:
We remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart:
We remember them.
When we have joy we crave to share:
We remember them.
When we have decisions that are difficult to make:
We remember them.
When we have achievements that are based on theirs:
We remember them.
As long as we live, they too will live; for they are now a part of us, as:
We remember them.
